After his last job ended and the family situation was right, it was time to pursue this dream.

I recently graduated from Furman University, where I studied Studio Art and Spanish. I am originally from Winston-Salem, NC and now work full-time as a graphic designer here in Greenville. I love animals, and I love to paint them. When I am not playing on the computer for 8 hours each day, Monday-Friday, I (mostly) create pet portraits. I work in oils, acrylics, gouache, and colored pencil. Other important information you should know about me is that I have a pet ball python named Sherman, I recently signed up for my first rock climbing competition, and my largemouth bass PR is 5.68 lb.
This series of gouache paintings highlight a few of the many wonderful creatures that live on Furman’s campus. Some might be easier to come across than others, but all are equally important in making Furman University special. Each painting represents a particular group of animals, location on campus and time of year. I apologize in advance if you were hoping for something more profound or philosophical, but I highly recommend that you enjoy this series for what it is and what it describes. I encourage you to enjoy the harmony within these paintings, and enjoy the natural world that inspired them. Maybe there is an animal I’ve painted that you like in particular. Perhaps you think the colors are nice. Maybe not. These paintings are not meant to be pulled apart by art critics or historians, and I am okay with that. The process of creating these pieces, and art in general, brings me incredible joy and I am simply happy to share the product of that joy with you all.

John Carroll is a great general contractor to work with. Helped us get open, with great patience and suggestions.
Paul and Thomas James installed our taps with extra special care. They frequently come back to service and help with understanding our system. AND they installed exactly how we had envisioned.
Very responsive and efficient. Helped us keep costs down with great suggestions. Also insightful on efficient implementation.
